The London-based designer behind HAM's distinctive monochrome silhouettes is Jo Robinson. A farmer's daughter, Jo grew up in the British countryside with her pet pig Primrose, before training as a fine artist at The Ruskin School of Drawing in Oxford. Jo spent the next five years working at a London design agency before establishing the HAM brand in 2011.
HAM's quirky pieces feature silhouettes of farmyard animals capturing unexpected moments in the lives of a pig, a rabbit and a horse. Steeped in humour, Jo's images offer a peek into the imagined behaviour of these animals when they're not looking.
Jo has spent time carefully selecting UK suppliers to help her craft her products and all HAM pieces are made in Great Britain. The greeting cards are printed by a press in Worcestershire, the cotton tea towels are made in Lincolnshire and the screen print are hand-pulled by Jo in her East London studio.
